The watts reading is adjusted based on a mathematical relationship between power and speed. This Kinetic Power Formula along with our proprietary software application accurately estimates the advancing effect of 16 various interactive forces. This power curve is based on the "average" ride on the "outside ride" using the following cubic function: P=(5.244820) * S + (0.01968)* S3. S=speed in mile per hour, P=power in Watts.
